CPA Tom Imbo

CPA Tom Odhiambo Imbo is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Limited (KETRACO), bringing more than 25 years of experience across the public and private sectors, including over 15 years of experience in mobilising and structuring development finance for the energy sector.

Prior to his appointment as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Imbo served as KETRACO’s General Manager, Finance. He has been with KETRACO for more than 15 years, serving in various capacities within the Finance and Strategy functions. Before joining KETRACO, he was Head of Management Accounts at the United States International University (USIU).

Mr. Imbo holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and a Bachelor of Education in Economics and Business Administration from Kenyatta University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) and has undertaken an Advanced Management Programme (AMP) at Strathmore University and a Strategic Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) at the Kenya School of Government.

He is currently pursuing a PhD in Finance at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and is completing an MSc in Development Finance at Strathmore University.
