General Manager, Strategy Research and Compliance
Dr. Njogu Kimando is an accomplished Strategic Management professional with over twenty-five years of extensive experience in strategic analysis, research, entrepreneurship, and monitoring & evaluation. He has a proven track record in driving organizational performance through evidence-based planning, innovation, and policy development.
He previously served as the Head of Corporate Planning, Research & Innovation at the ICT Authority. He has also worked with the National Sports Fund and Goodit International Limited, contributing significantly to strategic development and institutional growth. Dr. Kimando is an active researcher with several academic journal publications in the fields of entrepreneurship and strategic management.
He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Entrepreneurship, a Master of Science (MSc) in Entrepreneurship, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. He also earned a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Business Studies and Mathematics from the University of Nairobi.
In addition, he has undertaken several executive and professional development programs, including the Strategic Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) at the Kenya School of Government (2018), Certified Public Accountant (CPA I) from KASNEB (2000–2004), Corporate Governance & Strategic Management in a VUCA World (2021), the Advanced Management Programme (AMP) delivered by Strathmore University in collaboration with institutions in Ghana and Spain (2024), and Progressive Public-Private Partnership in the Energy Sector training in Malaysia (2024).
Dr. Kimando is a full member of the Kenya Institute of Management and the Society of Educational Research and Evaluation in Kenya, reflecting his commitment to professional excellence and continuous development.
