KENYA ELECTRICITY TRANSMISSION COMPANY LTD (KETRACO) maintains an Integrated Management System (IMS), (QMS based on ISO 9001:2015), (ISMS based on ISO 27001:2022) and (OHSMS (Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems) based on ISO 45001:2018) as a strategic tool for continual improvement for customer satisfaction, service consistency, information security and statutory compliance. Towards this KETRACO Management and Staff;
- Are committed to the effective implementation and continual improvement of the KETRACO Integrated Management Systems compliant with applicable standards to consistently meet and exceed both statutory and our customers’ requirements.
- Will Identify and continually monitor Quality, Safety and Information Security risks and opportunities associated with her context and processes, including their internal control measures.
- Will establish and monitor Quality, Safety, and Information Security objectives in its processes.
- Commits to continual improvement of the IMS through data analysis, performance evaluation and management review.
- Commits to safeguard the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability of information systems, identity, and data assets by providing proactive security expertise, creating, and maintaining a resilient and secure infrastructure, and fostering a culture of security awareness.
- Commits to providing a safe and healthy work environment for employees, contractors, suppliers, and visitors not just as a moral and legal responsibility, but also as a prerequisite for her to achieve its primary mission of operating an efficient, effective, reliable, and safe National Transmission grid, Regional Interconnectors and Systems operations in line with her Mandate, Vision, and Mission.
- Commits to employ effective accident and illness prevention measures involving all its stakeholders in the effort to eliminate workplace hazards or damage to their property.
- Shall maintain, communicate, apply, and review this policy to ensure its continued suitability and availability to suppliers and relevant stakeholders.
